Shirley Hayden

Shirley Hayden became a member of the P-Funk girl group Parlet with Mallia Franklin and Jeanette Washington in 1978, replacing Debbie Wright. She also recorded on her first Parliament and Funkadelic albums in the same year, "One Nation Under A Groove" and can be heard on various P-Funk, Bootsy Collins and George Clinton releases. She remained with Parlet until its demise in 1980. Shirley has worked with local Detroit musicians and producers throughout the years and in 1998 she sang on "Devil Without a Cause" with Kid Rock. In 2015 she teamed up with James "The Blackman" Harris for the album project, "I've Got What You Need" - The Blackman Revue featuring Shirley Hayden produced by
Sean "PapaSean" Franklin. PapaSean has since produced 2 solo singles for Shirley..."Can You Feel Me?" in 2017
and "Always On The One" in 2020.
